Bob McLeod's Superhero ABC is an energetic and hilarious alphabet book that has received several literary awards. Each page focuses on a superhero with a different letter that performs feats that also start with that letter. With bright colors and funny details, the cartoons in the book are alive with movement.

This successful alphabet book contains a lot of repetition. Kids will love hearing about all of the unique superpowers that each superhero has. They will also do a lot of laughing at some of the very creatively named heroes such as Odor Officer and Multiplying Man.

I read this with my nephew Michael who loves comics, and he thought that the illustrations were really neat. His favorite superhero was Danger Man and said that I should call him that. I agreed if he said all the letters in the alphabet correctly, a challenge that he accepted. For the rest of the day, everyone in the house had to call him Danger Man.
